Kungahara: "Be Rich"

Kungahara—meaning "be rich" in Kinyarwanda—is a women's group within the Bwishaza cooperative. This exceptional coffee comes from 206 women farmers in Rwanda's Western Province, each tending trees on small farms of less than half a hectare.

Led by Women, Driven by Innovation

Under the energetic leadership of president Angelique TUYISENGE, the Kungahara women's group represents innovation in Rwandan coffee. The cooperative began working with Beautiful Coffee in 2017, bringing new ideas in governance, quality, and processing methods.
